About this product
This roll system has been developed to overcome the problems experienced with hydraulically locked composite rolls. Using K-Bolt® composite rolls in long product mills is very easy and a smart alternative. Locking is carried out by a special bolt system instead of hydraulics.
Besides easy assembly and disassembly, its most important feature is eliminating slipping of the carbide rings and the resulting cracks, defects and material loss. It can also be applied to intermediate group rolls with the needed clamping forces. Shafts are made of high tensile forged AISI 4140 steel, all certified metallurgically and physically, including crack inspection results.
- Less slipping/rotating of the rings on the shafts, fewer defects on carbide rings

- No hydraulic pump, seals, teflon etc. needed; only a standard torque wrench
- Also applicable to intermediate group rolls
- Less force needed compared with hydraulic locking
- Lower operating costs as lock nuts can be reused
- No safety risks from high hydraulic pressures
